Experience a mission to the International Space Station firsthand with the unveiling of our new virtual reality experience! NASA Flight Controller Megan Shutika will be present for a Q&A panel on what it takes to conduct spacewalks on the station. Games and light refreshments will be provided.

Join us for Night at the Museum with our guest speaker Debbie Ziegelmeyer, Missouri MUFON State Director! The Mutual UFO Network is a US-based non-profit organization composed of civilian volunteers who study reported UFO sightings. Ziegelmeyer is currently a MUFON Missouri State Director, a member of the MUFON Business Board of Directors, the Functional Director of Underwater Research and Recovery, co-founder of the MUFON Dive Team, a PADI Instructor, and small business owner in Imperial, Missouri.

SOLAR ECLIPSE

Join us in Bonne Terre to witness the solar eclipse! The museum will be open on Monday, April 8th in addition to our normal open days. Solar eclipse glasses for safe viewing will be available for purchase in our gift shop for $3.00 each.

TRIVIA NIGHT

The theme for this year’s Show Me Space is "Women in Space", highlighting the groundbreaking impact that women have had on space exploration here in the Show Me State and across the country. Immerse yourself in space history and meet actual astronauts and NASA personnel who have made spaceflight possible.

GUS’S BIRTHDAY BASH

Join us Saturday, April 2nd as we celebrate the life of Mercury 7 astronaut, Air Force pilot, and American hero Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom! Gus's Birthday Bash will feature door prizes, games, science shows, a bounce house, birthday cake, museum tours, and more!

NASA’s Bob Jacobs will present the museum with Gus Grissom's Ambassador of Exploration Award featuring an actual lunar sample collected on Apollo 16. Special Guest Lowell Grissom will be in attendance as we honor the accomplishments of Gus Grissom, the second American in space and the namesake of our facility here in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
