The Space Museum and Grissom Center features incredible spaceflight artifacts, hands-on interactives, the Shuttle Theatre Experience, and an out-of-this-world gift shop all included with your admission.

Please purchase your admission upon arrival at the museum. The Space Museum and Grissom Center does not conduct online advanced general admission at this time.

MUSEUM FAQ’s

  • With numerous hands-on experiences and hundreds of spaceflight artifacts, visit times to The Space Museum and Grissom Center vary. We recommend a minimum of one hour to experience the museum, with visits frequently lasting longer.

  • Start your visit at the Grissom Center, located in the Tudor-style Heritage Hall at 118 East School Street. Free visitor parking is located to the right of the Grissom Center.

  • The museum’s exhibit hall and gift shop are located on the ground floor and are accessible to wheelchairs. Gallery walkways may be narrow in some areas.

  • The museum has select educational artifacts that are frequently brought out for visitors to hold or interact with as staff are available. Visitors are asked to refrain from touching artifacts that may be exhibited without a glass barrier, unless otherwise facilitated by museum staff.

  • The museum does not have a restaurant on grounds, and we recommend exploring the excellent food options available in Bonne Terre, Farmington, and other nearby towns.

  • For the safety of our artifacts and comfort of other visitors, no pets are allowed inside museum facilities outside of service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • The Space Museum and Grissom Center prides itself in its role of sharing inspiring spaceflight stories with the public. We accept artifact donations on a case-by-case basis depending on our educational and display needs. Visit our “Donate” tab to learn more.

  • Due to our current staffing needs, the museum does not have open employment positions at this time.
